Good chapter! We finally got some questions answered…even though another “mystery” was introduced. So it’s finally confirmed that of the Strawhats only the monster trio can use haki. And apparently Law can use haki too. And it looks like a pirate alliance is formed. Not the way I predicted it would happen but i knew luffy would form an alliance with one of the supernovas. As for the person Law is after…I think its Shanks. Luffy probably wants to “beat” Shanks just as much as he wants to see him. Remember that he said one day his crew will be stronger than Shanks. Well what better way to prove it or at least test to see where his current power level is.
I don’t think it’s Big Mam because…it would seem kinda corny to keep that a secret now when we already know he’s going after her sooner or later. It’s not Blackbeard because I don’t think he would be smiling so much after hearing the name. And Kaido…well, he’s a possibility but he’s my second guess. I rule him out mostly because we don’t know anything about him yet and I don’t think he’s gonna be introduced this way.

Excellent chapter, I was expecting Quilge to show a new technique but I couldn’t have imagined it would be that powerful. I think Ichigo made the right decision by going bankai. Now that the enemy revealed his trump card, it’s best to defeat him as soon as possible without risking possible defeat or putting your friends’ lives in danger. Quilge wasn’t happy with Ichigo’s decision to go bankai which supports the idea that it was the right thing to do so. I guess he was saving this ability as a countermeasure against Ichigo’s bankai but he was forced to use it against other people and Ichigo now knows what he’s against. It was also a pretty smart move from Ichigo that he targeted the reishi-absorbing spikes on Quilge’s head, it’ll be much harder for Quilge to use it against Ichigo assuming it’s possible.
I guess this technique can be countered by shinigami who have strong reiatsu and excellent control over it though. We know reiatsu is a major factor in Bleach fights and I believe it’s much harder to absorb reishi from someone who has higher resistance. I also don’t think it’s a recently invented technique because reishi absorbing is a common technique of quincies, senior captains probably know how to fight against such an ability. Absorbing poisonous material like Mayuri’s bankai may also be dangerous for quincies and it can be used as a defensive measure. No matter what, as VR leader said a tough battle is awaiting us and I agree that there’ll be many losses on shinigami side, it’s too soon for the antagonists to be dealt a major blow.
